feel like new

Yesterday I thought it might be high time for a haircut. The last cut I had was from my sister who gave me some very cute but difficult to manage bangs. After a year of not seeing a hairdresser I took the plunge…

Luckily for me there is a fabulous chain of salons in Barcelona called Anthony Llobat – their tag line is “don’t let your Spanish come between you and your hair”. Hallelujah! I really didn’t fancy tackling the challenge of explaining how I want my hair to look in Spanglish.

I rocked up to their salon in the very trendy Born area where I was met by the rather cool and talented Reese! The salon’s interior was totally retro, with old style barber chairs and pictures of movie starlets  on the walls. After a fabulous and relaxing hair wash, Reese skillfully added some layers and then fixed the ledge of hair that used to be a fringe. Finally he blow-dried some curls in and then finished off with some very sexy tousling.

I left the salon with a new spring in my step and a feeling that my hair now fits my new life. I couldn’t stop swishing it all the way home…

Hasta Luego!
